At the End of a ProGrad Assessment Day?

At the End of the Assessment Day.

As the sun sets over the assessment centre and the day draws to a close, you get to find out how you went through the process. We don’t want to make you wait around for a week or so torturing yourself as you wonder if you made it through, so we’ll let you know on the day!

On a ProGrad Assessment Day there are two possible outcomes that you face. One is that from here your application won’t move forward and we will have limited capacity to offer job opportunities to you. If this is the case- please do not feel like the afternoon will have been a waste. The experience is designed to be a useful and productive event regardless of the outcome.

However! The other option is that you are successful with ProGrad and we are able to immediately move forward with you, matching you with job opportunities that we have based on your scoring, what you are looking for and what our clients are looking for.

If you do successfully move through the assessment day (we will explain the process in more detail to you in person) but ideally, what you can expect is within the coming days to weeks we will be in touch with you to discuss positions within organizations we are partnered with, setting up interviews and providing full support through that process. If you are successful at an interview and are offered the job, it is completely up to you whether or not you accept! Your decision is between you and the company- we just facilitate the introduction. This means, that unlike with a recruitment agency, if you accept a job offer you become a full time permanent employee of THAT organization. Your relationship will continue with ProGrad through the training we provide throughout your first year of placement. (Rest assured this is fully paid for by the employee so there is no cost you!)

Coming along to the assessment day is not meant to be a brutal or scary process, it is our aim to assess, place and train graduates and in doing so provide opportunities and the basic tools that will get you into a great entry level position to launch your corporate career.

As well as providing you with experience in meeting employers, presenting and building networking skills, at the conclusion of the assessment day ProGrad present to you a workshop on the “Importance of First Impressions”. This is a comprehensive presentation that goes through highly tailored advice and information about how to move forward in your graduate job hunt. Covering areas such as; how to apply for roles, resume writing, interviewing skills and how to go about making a strong first impression in the corporate world.

This presentation alone will provide invaluable information in the progression of your job hunt and has assisted countless graduates in securing graduate roles.

Regardless of the outcome, it is our aim that by attending a ProGrad assessment day you will be better equipped to move forward in your job hunt.
